Who We Are

Mijokum is a Specialty Chemicals manufacturer based in the port city of Karachi. For the last 25 years we have successfully developed products such as Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Fluids, Specialty Solvents, Industrial Waxes, Pressroom Chemicals and Emulsions.
Our product range is widely used in a agrochemicals, insecticides, pharmaceuticals, textiles, fiber board, paints, inks, printing and packaging. Our toll manufacturing services include Aerosol, Liquid and Powder filling. We strive to form long term partnerships with our customers so that we may offer innovative and competitive technologies and products while preserving harmony with the environment.
Mijokum is a Private Limited Company registered with FBR, KCCI, KATI, PAPGAI and SECP.

Our History

Mijokum is a Specialty Chemicals manufacturer based in the port city of Karachi.

2010

Specialty Solvents

Mijokum increased its processing capacity for solvents to 250,000 TPA. Mijokum started research on continuous reactors for de-aromatization and odour removal of solvents.

2005

Paraffin Wax

After the privatization of National Refinery Limited in 2005, Mijokum started manufacture of semi-refined paraffin wax. With an installed capacity of 2,000 TPA, we are the second largest producers of paraffin wax in the country.

1990

Aliphatic Hydrocarbon Solvents

Mijokum became the first manufacturer in Pakistan of aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents. A processing plant with an installed capacity of 100,000 TPA of solvents was commissioned.

Meet Our Team

Each of the 40 members of the Mijokum family contributes to the success of the company. The most junior member is given the same respect as the most senior member of our family. Our leadership includes our General Manager, Director Technical and Director Administration who carry responsibilities for realizing our business objectives whilst keeping true to our core purpose and core values.

Yusuf Diwan Director Yusuf is a veteran of the petrochemicals industry in Pakistan with 40 years of global experience. He studied Chemical Engineering at Indiana University, USA and then obtained a masters degree in Biological Engineering from Wyoming University, USA. In 1982 he led the successful foundation of Mijokum near Karachi port.

Azeem Diwan Marketing Azeem studied Management from Purdue University, USA. He is responsible for day to day administration of the business. In addition he is also responsible for the Toll Manufacturing business unit and the Hydro-Metallurgy business unit. Prior to Mijokum he worked in manufacturing and trading of Electrical Generators and Textile Machinery.

Khizar Diwan CEO Khizar studied Electrical Engineering at Tufts University, USA and holds and advanced diploma from the Chartered Institute Of Mangement Accountants, UK. He is responsible for the general management of the group including the R&D function. In addition to this he is responsible for the Waxes business unit and the Emulsions & Cleaners business unit. Prior to Mijokum, he worked with PriceWaterHouseCoopers, UK and was a management trainee at Unilever, UK.
